Same Difference

no-runnerThe only entry from Nigel Twiston-Davies this year, Same Difference is eight years old and fresh off the back of a fifth place finish in the Kim Muir Handicap Chase at Cheltenham.

It was a much needed decent result as his form this season hasn’t been the best and from three previous runs this season had only managed 11th and 10th place finishes before pulling-up at Warwick on january 11th 2014.

What will help his chances at Aintree is the fact that in all races this season he has carried no less than 11-0 so the 10-04 for the 2014 Crabbies Grand National will significantly lighten his load and enable him to pick up some speed around the course.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Same Difference isn’t in with a chance. He has returned wins and/or places in 50% of his starts, earned connections over £90K, won at Cheltenham, come second at over 3m5f and does best on Good-Soft ground.

Sam Twiston-Davies has traditionally partnered him but this year will be on Tidal Bay for trainer Paul Nicholls.

At the five day declaration stage, Same Difference was withdrawn from the 2014 Crabbies Grand National.
