The 2014 Crabbies Grand National is expected to attract in excess of £150m worth of bets from the UK public today and rather than seeing the odds all shorten, many of today's runners saw their odds move out yesterday.
Teaforthree was as short as 8/1 with Paddy Power yesterday but by the early evening, following a significant overhaul in the odds, it went out to 10/1, giving people a little more value for their money.
Monbeg Dude also moved out from 12/1 to 14/1 as did some of the runners a little further down the list. Kruzhlinin has the dubious honour of being Paddy Power's only 100/1 shot and it didn't get any better for trainer Donald McCain as his other hope, Across The Bay moved from 40/1 to 50/1.
Some of those that did see a move the other way include Burton Port who is now as short as 16/1 along with The Package, now also 16/1, and Walkon who's odds have been slashed from 50/1 to 33/1.
As the day progresses and more money goes on the 2014 Grand National the odds will keep fluctuating but at least for now there's still some value left in the market with 26 of the runners at 33/1 or higher which is great news for those who like to back an outsider!
