An Irish 9 year old, Becauseicouldntsee, is attempting his second Grand National this year on April 14th, having fallen last year, in the 2011 Grand National, when he ran under jockey Davy Russell.
Trained and owned by Noel Glynn, he has been handicapped with, 5lbs less than last year at 10-03 for the race which puts him in a reasonable competitive position.
He’s on good, solid form and with 11 chase starts under his belt, he is definitely more experienced than he was last year. Of his 1 chase starts, he has returned one win, five second places and one third.
Most recently he ran in the 2012 Cheltenham Festival where he came second in the Kim Muir Handicap Chase to other 2012 Grand National hopeful Sunnyhillboy, under jockey Robbie McNamara.
He is guaranteed to line-up on April 14th if he’s not withdrawn and with weight, age, stamina and form on his side he could definitely be one to watch.
