[Racecard Roulez Cool]
Roulez Cool has mixed form, often have very good spells with wins and seconds followed by an unseating of the jockey then back to wins and seconds before once again unseating his jockey. Essentially he’s unpredictable which is not the kind of horse you hope pulls it out of the bag on Grand National day.
As recently as the 2012 Cheltenham Festival he once again unseated jockey Sam Waley-Cohen in the Foxhunter Chase before heading to Newbury where he finished fourth to Offshore Account in the Hunters Chase on March 23rd.
When he’s on form then he really is on form turning in three wins, four seconds and a third from just eight chase starts and he does have stamina winning at over 3m4f. He also likes to going good and if it wasn’t for his inconsistency I’m sure he’d be much more fancied than the odds of 33/1 would lead you to believe.
Most recently Robert Waley-Cohen has said “He’s got a nice weight of 10st 5lb, which Sam could do, and I think he’s a horse that could go well there.” referring to the Grand National.
