Lie Forrit Out With Flu
It seems horse can suffer like men when it comes to the flu, leading Scottish Grand National contender ‘Lie Forrit’ has been ruled out of Saturday’s race after coming down with the flu.
The horses trainer Willie Amos said “It’s nothing much, more a cold than the flu, as you might say, but it’s affecting the whole yard,” adding “The horse next to him has had it and Lie Forrit has now coughed too. It’s devastating as I think it is a very open race and he would have had a good chance. It’s just devastating.”
Sir Alex Ferguson’s Harry The Viking is still the red hot favourite among the 25-strong field following the final declaration stage.
