Conor O’Farrell

A stable jockey for top trainer David Pipe, Conor O’Farrell looks so young that if you start to type his name into google one of the first predicative questions is ‘Conor O’Farrell jockey age” – he’s actually in his mid-twenties so clearly great youthful genes pass through his Irish family!

Nicknamed Jacksie at the yard, he started working for David Pipe at Pondhouse in October of 2010 citing some of his favourite horses as Western Leader, Master N Commander and Fred’s Benefit though I’m sure after two trips to the Grand National, he’ll probably add Swing Bill to that list.

And like many young jockeys he looks up to Ruby Walsh and Davy Condon and in the 2013 Grand National successfully got around the course on Swing Bill to finish in 6th place.

This season he has had over 120 rides and earned connections nearly £100K in prize money and for the 2014 Crabbies Grand National will, once again, be back renewing his partnership with Swing Bill for David Pipe.
